July 28th, 2001We had another beautiful day in Soldotna, Alaska for the Progress Days Parade this year. There were a gang of proud little dachshunds struting their stuff in this years gathering. They were once again a hit and the spectators cheered, clapped, laughed and took pictures. The wieners really enjoy the walk and if they do get tired they are a light load for their keepers to tote. Hope you enjoy the pics.
The dachshunds and their owners are waiting to line up before the parade.
Lining up, it's almost time to walk.

Leslie and grandson Chad getting ready to walk.
These Teckels of all colors are some of the participants.
Here's a cute smooth dachshund dressed for the parade.
The tall and short of it.
The banner leads the way as the wieners start off.
The dachshunds are always a crowd favorite in the parade.

Nearing the end, the dachshunds and their owners have enjoyed
another Progress Days Parade.
If any of you that were in the parade and saw your picture above or on any of the other parade pages and would like you and/or your dachshund to be identified under the picture I'll be glad to do it. And if you have a web page I'll include a link to it if you'd like. Email me, Dave, at e-mail me with the info and which picture it is.
