July 27th, 2002We had a normal overcast day in Soldotna, Alaska for the Progress Days Parade this year. There was a bunch of the little wiener dogs and their people and as usual they were a big hit. The little dachshunds really do like to get out and meet their fans as they walk along the parade route and their owners love showing them off. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Diane, holding the banner on the right, is the founder of "Weenies On Parade.".
The banner is followed by the first bunch of little teckels.
Candy, in the bags to be handed out to the kids, and dachshunds are always a Progress Days hit.
Some dachshunds move at a leisurely pace and some can't wait to get a move on.
All ages of dachshunds and their people make up the group.
The wienie dogs pass by and candy is handed and thrown to the kids.
Kenny, age 5, walks Joey, age 2, a deaf and very sweet dachshund.
On down the parade route they go.
