July 26th, 2003We had another overcast day in Soldotna, Alaska for the Progress Days Parade this year. There was a bunch of the little wiener dogs and their people and as usual they were a big hit. The little dachshunds really do like to get out and meet their fans as they walk along the parade route and their owners love showing them off. Hope you enjoy the pics.
The group is getting ready to head down the parade route.
All the teckels and their owners spread out from side to side.
The short hair and long hair dachshunds.
The weenie dogs have their fans along the parade route.
Bags of candy to hand out to the kids watching the dachshunds.
All ages of dachshunds and their people make up the group.
Kenny, 6, and Nikki, 17, bother and sister walk some of their dachshunds.
The group poses at the end of the parade. See you all next year.
If any of you that were in the parade and saw your picture above or on any of the other parade pages and would like you and/or your dachshund to be identified under the picture I'll be glad to do it. And if you have a web page I'll include a link to it if you'd like. Email me, Dave, at e-mail me with the info and which picture it is.
